More Orange County Classic Jazz Festival

It's over and we've been home sweet home for a few days. I'll let Don tell you more about what we did in the September issue of The American Rag and just post some of my photos. Anyone interested in this part of the blog will probably recognize the faces, so I won't use captions. Just know that I love the zoom feature on my Canon PowerShot S3 and use it often!

I tried to make these small, but for those who have trouble opening the blog, I'll save some for another day.

On The Home Front

Quilting has been slow lately. I took in four almost two weeks ago and have finished two of them. They're really cute -- Owl appliques. I suspect she'll use something like buttons for their eyes. There should be one more waiting for pick-up at Cozy Quiltin' and I'll get it today.
I won't be going to quilting class today, so I'll probably work on the baby quilt. Pics of that one are coming soon.
I took a few minutes for spinning last week, still working on the undyed Polwarth, and "might" have some luscious fibers waiting to be done. Teethy

Other than that, I'm working on Don's toe-up socks. One is ready to start the heel, the other will be there soon . I finally found a pattern I wanted to use for Chemo Caps and have one in progress. That's my 'mindless' knitting. Cap and sock pics will wait until tomorrow.

  1. Great photos! Looks like you've been busy. Can't wait to see photos of the socks.
