Chilliwack Jazz Festival

This is one of our absolute favorites! If you can make it to Chilliwack April 29-May 2, I guarantee you will have fun!! Here's what Frank Grace said about this festival in the March issue of The American Rag (on the way to your mailbox later this week):

On The Home Front

The name of the game for the past week has been "Quilting." When my friend Donna said she would drum up some work for me, she meant it! Last week I picked up 6 quilts, and only had to farm out one of them because it was too big for the Quilt Monster. The last one is on the machine today, so all will be delivered tomorrow. Hopefully, there will be more by the end of the week!

The manly socks are finished -- and they're too big. I did a swatch, and just guestimated from there. Next time we'll know how to do it right!
The Aestlight shawlette is also finished -- with the WendyKnits "Exonumist's" edging. It looks terrific! I still can't get the camera to capture the true color, so you'll have to take my word that it's a luscious red-brown with green flecks.

The next shawlette is WendyKnits "Seaside." I started it three times last night. Kept getting about to the 9th row of the set-up chart and finding the stitch count off. Finally, on the third try, it's going much better. I'm using Malabrigo again, turquoise this time. I'll take a progress photo tomorrow.

  1. Wow, you are one busy woman! That festival sounds like a blast.

  2. It is a blast! There are a lot of young people there, dancers, bands, and their friends. And the area is beautiful.
