Actually, The American Rag web site has been back up for a few weeks, but now we have the ability to update it. There were more hoops to jump through than you can count just to get control of it after our former web host disappeared. Our local computer guru is now hosting it for us, and he had time today to come over and get it set up so that I can make changes. The first change was to put a link on the home page to this blog. Maybe now someone (other than my family) will read it.
Thanks, Mom! I don't know if I would have kept doing this if I didn't know that you and Angie were looking at it once in a while!
Yesterday while it was on my mind, I made the room reservations for Monterey. Last year we stayed across the street from the Portola at the Hotel Pacific. They have "junior suites" that are outrageously beautiful, and not as expensive as you'd think.
On The Home Front
There isn't much to report today. I spent the morning on transcription practice and watched the episode of "House" that I taped last night. Then Matt arrived and spent an hour or so finding the best way to send web site updates to the server.
Elmo surprised me this morning. Evidently she was feeling lonely in the family room, because as I was transcribing in the 'sewing room,' I looked down and she had walked in for a little visit. Sorry I didn't think to take a photo. Peaches was right behind her . . . hoping for a little nibble, I'm sure! Thankfully, both dogs are afraid of the beak.
Now it's time to watch some news and do a little knitting, probably socks, before dinner.
