It's In The Mail

Our mailing service should have delivered the February issue of The American Rag to the post office by now. If you're a subscriber, start watching your mailbox. If you're not a subscriber . . . why not? Here is some of what's happening in this issue.

On the front page this month is Frank Grace's profile of Mat and Rachel Domber of Arbors Records. On page 5 there is a story about the Medford Jazz Jubilee's inclusion of venues and bands' sets specifically for swing dancers (and those, like me, who love to watch them!). As always, you'll find Uhl's Tidings, Cam Miller's Choice Cuts and Rimshots, Frank Grace's Festival Roundup, Lew Shaw's Jazz Jottings, Jack Lebo's Big Band Report, a Jazz Club directory, Coming Events, and assorted stories.

As one Fox News anchor puts it, "If you don't get it, Demand It!" See The American Rag's Online Subscription page for information.

On The Home Front

Red sky at morning . . . .

The quilted wallhanging was delivered yesterday. Today I quilted a lap-size quilt for a friend. She used a line of patriotic themed fabrics, mainly eagles, in Civil War era colors, and I quilted it with a stylized flag design.

Don's friend Herb e-mailed today that invitations have gone out for their 60th high school reunion in September. I've never been to one of mine, but someone elses might be fun!

Now it's time for knitting. The gusset increases are done on one of the manly socks and I'm now working on the other one. It's slow going with so little time to work on them.
