Back to Work

Our December "vacation" is over, and we're working on the February issue of The American Rag. I've just been proofing Cam Miller's story about the Monterey Jazz Bash by the Bay.

This year they are celebrating the 30th anniversary of this fantastic festival, which is one of our favorites. We like to attend festivals in places that have other attractions, and Monterey has plenty to see and do, much of it within walking distance. If you're planning to go, look for us -- we're planning to be there!

On The Home Front

Yesterday was our 13th wedding anniversary. We watched the Arizona Cardinals (our favorite team) win their playoff game, and then we went out to dinner. Jessica picked up the Ishbel scarf and it looks great on her. What more can you ask from a Sunday in January?

Today was Quilt Guild meeting day, interesting as usual, and too long. After some story proofing I'll get back to knitting. Still have 2 pairs of socks going, and started the Aestlight shawl Saturday. Wendy (WendyKnits.net) substituted one of her edgings for the Aestlight pattern edging and it looks better, so I'll use Wendy's edging on mine, too. The substitute edging is from her "Exonumist's Circular Shawl" pattern, which can be found on Ravelry. This one is going slower, though, so it will be a while before I get to the edging.
